About

Hello, I'm Kent Blodgett and I'm glad you've found my portfolio site! When I arrived in the Bay Area in 1997, I was a recent grad of music school looking to set up shop, meet people and make music. Little did I know that this parallel universe know as the internet would be where I would begin my career. The site I created here was to segment out the portion of my life that has evolved in the tech industry and my hope is to give a sense of the various roles and experiences that have shaped that journey. I am always looking to continually expand and grow in knowledge and experience which in turn fuels my excitement and passion as it provides opportunities for discovery and charting new territory.

What else do I do with my time?

  • Stay abreast of and try out new technologies and services (the latest is ML algorithms).
  • Whenever reasonably possible, I run and climb to stay active.
  • Write and record music - (lots and lots of sketches!)
  • Read about anything - lately it's been a rotation of reading perspectives on quantum mechanics and theory, principles of acoustics, current and classic fiction.
  • Spend time with the family.

With 25 years in product development, I've traversed the range of roles - from full stack web developer in the early days, through leading large complex project management programs, managing the P&L for highly visible, influential products and providing product leadership and operational guidance within business units and company wide steering committee functions. I thrive in creative environments and approach projects with curiosity and an interest in sparking energy and momentum within the teams I work alongside.

Below is a timeline and highlights of my career in product development starting with the most recent and taking the way back machine to my time with early period startups. I invite you to scroll through and would love to hear from you!
